James: The City has done a terrible job just lining out exactly how we got to this point, so I tried to fill in that gap.

I think that Cece did a good job outlining that local governments - cities, counties, ACHD, VRT, and ITD have over $2 billion in identified transportation needs in the Valley. The streetcar is just one piece in a very large puzzle that the transportation agencies in the valley are trying to get done, and all the agencies are doing their part to get these projects completed.

I think there is a convincing NO campaign to be made out there. But the argument that won't fly is the one that is out there now - that this is some kind of pipe dream cooked up by the Mayor. That is just an utter falsehood and we should be beyond that kind of discourse.

You present a convincing argument for implementing a plan that has been pursued quite rationally up to this point. So why is this the first news I've heard *for* the street car implementation? Color me confused.
